The Canarian company CICAR, leader in the car rental segment in the Canary Islands, attends the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid in 2023 "with full confidence in the tourist future of the islands, because we have already overcome the health crisis and inflation is not affecting the contracting of trips", in the words of its CEO, Mamerto Cabrera.
FITUR is one of the three major tourism fairs in the world, "so its attendance is considered mandatory to know the trends of the tourism sector in the immediate future. As in past editions, CICAR has its own stand located next to the public institutional representation and the private sector of the Canary archipelago"; they point out from the entity.
The CEO of CICAR received the visit of the President of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, the Minister of Tourism of the autonomous executive, Yaiza Castilla, and the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, among other authorities, and "exchanged impressions on the good tourism forecasts expected for this year".
Mamerto Cabrera told them that, to be competitive, "the principles and values that guide" their way of doing things continue to be the same ones that his father established in 1967, "when he started in the world of rent a car with only five vehicles, which are kindness and closeness, security and customer satisfaction, simplicity and desire to excel".
In 2011, the Audio-guide of the Canary Islands created by CICAR began, whose purpose is to improve the experience of users of their rental cars when traveling through any island of the archipelago. It is an application in several languages that can be downloaded on mobile devices when traveling through any island of the Canary Islands, including La Graciosa.
