A representation of CICAR is in London to be present at a new edition of the 'World Travel Market' which points to a record year in the Canary Islands. In fact, a third of international tourists arriving in the Canary Islands come from the British Isles.

This Monday, November 6, the 'World Travel Market 2023' has begun, an event that is held annually and to which, as usual, CICAR, the leading car rental company in the Canary Islands, has attended. This event is considered a mandatory event for the tourism sector worldwide.

CICAR has its own stand

As in past editions, CICAR has its own stand close to the public institutional representation and the Canarian private sector. All work in close coordination both to reinforce the winter season and to close agreements for the 2023 summer season.

The President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism of the autonomous executive, Jéssica de León, approached the CICAR stand, where they were received by the company's staff headed by its commercial director, Ramón Valiente.

The Government of the Canary Islands expects that the present 2023 will close with a record of 16 million tourists entered and 19,000 million euros of turnover, figures that, to a large extent, come from tourism from the United Kingdom. At the ``World Travel Market'' the destinations and sectors of the tourism industry are presented to a specialized audience of travel professionals from the United Kingdom and the world.
