The far-right and PP-VOX fascism want to hunt a bigger prize in this human tragedy of the train accident in Urda (Toledo), as the scavengers they are. And of course, Óscar Puente is the head they have desired since 'time immemorial' since that memorable moment in that phrase "from winner to winner" to Mr. Feijóo. I think handing over that trophy on a silver platter to fascism would be a serious mistake at these crucial political moments for democracy, knowing that Óscar Puente is an important asset in the ranks of his party.
Perhaps it would be desirable from the democratic decency of the left, but perhaps we would be feeding the carrion even more with desires for much more... It cannot be that 'Resigning' is only mandatory to keep the conscience clear for the left... Just remember that the right uses the same force and energy to demand Óscar Puente's resignation as they use, miserably, to defend Ayuso and Mazón with 7,291 and 233 deaths respectively behind them.
And the most anecdotal thing, if his resignation were to happen, is that it probably won't fix the pain of the victims and their families, nor allow us to know the real causes of the train accident, nor who the 'intellectual culprits' of the accident are, with or without sabotage, nor that we can stop fascism on November 29th...
For all these reasons, I still maintain my reservations about this demand for resignation from sectors of the left... I even think it could be an unforgivable mistake. I don't know, but that "winner to winner" might be at stake in the left's victory over fascism on November 29th.
