The Ministry of Universities, Science and Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands has published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands this Monday, March 4, 2024, the second list that has been analyzed by the Scholarship Selection Committee.
In this second list of university scholarships, 1,126 scholarships have been provisionally granted with a budget of 2,250,176.61 euros. Of this amount, 1,112,452.85 euros correspond to students from the ULL, 619,169.17 euros to the ULPGC and 518,554.59 euros for those who study at other universities.
To date, the Universities team has managed 6,827, which represents 58.16% of the total number of scholarship applications, with a total investment by the Government of 4,422,240.08 euros, pending resolution of all scholarships in the publication of a third list.
These scholarships are intended to cover the expenses derived from the payment of public prices for tuition, transport and residence of university higher education, of people residing in the Canary Islands, who carry out university studies in public centers during the 2023/2024 academic year and do not meet the requirements to be beneficiaries of all or some of the modalities of university scholarships called by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
