The Canary Islands has added 108 new cases of coronavirus this Thursday. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 96,989 with 947 active, of which 15 are admitted to the ICU and 80 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of a 63-year-old woman in Tenerife has been registered, who suffered from previous pathologies and was admitted to the hospital.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 27.67 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 48.48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 52 cases with a total of 434 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 26 more than the previous day and 370 active. Lanzarote adds nine new cases with 52 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has five new cases, and 69 active. El Hierro does not add new positives, so it has one active. La Gomera does not notify new cases either, so its assets are three. La Palma registers 16 new cases, six more than the 10 reported yesterday and that have been incorporated into the statistical record, therefore it has 18 active cases.
Until this Thursday, a total of 2,243,627 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 4,448 correspond to Wednesday.
