The Canary Islands adds two new deaths and another 24 confirmed cases in the last hours

The number of active cases continues to decrease, as the number of patients who have overcome the disease has also increased.

The Canary Islands has added two new deaths from coronavirus during the last hours, according to the latest data updated at noon this Friday by the Ministry of Health. Thus, the number of deaths in the islands now rises to 113 since the beginning of this health crisis.

Regarding confirmed cases, 24 new positives have been registered during Friday morning, leaving a cumulative total of 2,033. However, just over half are still active, since deaths and also discharges, which continue to increase, must be deducted from that figure.

According to the latest data, another 34 people have already overcome the disease in the Canary Islands, leaving a total of 764 cured patients. Thus, the number of active cases stands at 1,156 in the latest statistics.
