The Governing Council authorized this Monday an expenditure of more than 10.9 million euros for the Canary Health Service to contract the service of cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization of the centers dependent on the Management of Health Services of the Health Area of Lanzarote.
The contract will be carried out by the Management through an open procedure and ordinary processing to cover the needs of comprehensive cleaning and other auxiliary services of the network of centers during a period of twenty-four months, distributed between the years 2026 and 2028.
The service to be contracted includes the cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization of the facilities of the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital and its dependent buildings, as well as of the network of Primary Care centers, comprising six health centers and nine local clinics.
In addition to the indicated tasks, the service will include auxiliary actions related to hospital logistics, waste management, supply of consumables, and operational control of the service, which require specialized organization and advanced technical means.
