Covid leaves another six dead in three days in the Canary Islands

In the archipelago there are 83 people admitted for coronavirus, of which four are in the ICU and 79 on the ward

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Friday six deaths from coronavirus since last Tuesday, two reported in Tenerife, two in Gran Canaria and two in La Palma. All the people, aged between 69 and 94 years old, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

In addition, in the last three days, 293 new positives in Covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 97,031 people in the Canary Islands. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 181.50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 95.09.
