The Canary Islands is the Spanish region that consumed the most pornography last May. This is shown by data from the official digital consumption mediator GfK Dam, which the newspaper La Provincia has echoed.
Specifically, with 705,068 unique users, the Canary Islands was the autonomous community with the highest consumption of pornography. Only followed at a distance by Asturias (285,024) and Cantabria (167,494).
"People usually consume pornography in their free time and the Canary Islands is an autonomous community very linked to sun and beach tourism. All this is related to the consumption of pornography and prostitution, which are linked," explains the Doctor of Sociology from the University of La Laguna Esther Torrado in an interview with the aforementioned media.
According to this investigation, with data from all over the country that La Voz has been able to access, the activity with the greatest preference among young people born between 1995 and 2010 is the consumption of pornographic pages.
49% of adolescents and young people consume adult content, while young women do so much less, in 27% of cases.
