This Monday, the Canary Islands add a total of 866 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of a 68-year-old man in La Palma has been reported, who had previous pathologies and was in hospital. Of the deaths notified over the weekend, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health, four are not confirmed, of which three had been notified in Gran Canaria, one in Lanzarote and another in La Gomera.
As of this Monday, a total of 3,258,068 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,535 correspond to Sunday.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 469.17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 751.53 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 317 cases with a total of 5,736 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 443 more than the previous day and 6,675 active cases. Lanzarote adds 37 new cases with 523 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 29 new cases and 680 active cases. La Palma adds 26 new positives, so it has 343 active cases. La Gomera has 13 new positives, with 96 active cases, and El Hierro adds a new case, so its active cases are 20.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 290,146 with 14,073 active cases, of which 42 are admitted to the ICU and 297 remain hospitalized.
