The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported 5,827 new cases of coronavirus in the last three days. In addition, the Islands register seven deaths since last Tuesday, of which three were reported in Tenerife, another three in Gran Canaria and the last one in La Palma. One of the deceased was 38 years old, while the rest were between 66 and 90 years old. All of them had previous pathologies and were in hospital admission.
Until this Friday, a total of 3,402,381 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 20,308 correspond to the last 72 hours.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 479.10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 907.24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, since last Tuesday, Tenerife has added 2,248 cases, Gran Canaria has 2,934 more, Lanzarote has added 122 new cases and Fuerteventura has 110 new cases. La Palma adds 269 new positives while La Gomera has 109 new ones and El Hierro adds 35.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic is 329,156, with 15,448 active, of which 19 are admitted to the ICU and 165 remain hospitalized.
