Canary Islands reports 7 deaths from Covid and 968 new positives in people over 60 years of age since Tuesday

Currently, in the Archipelago there are 269 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 15 are in ICU and the rest, 254, on the ward

Since last Tuesday, 968 new positives for Covid-19 have been registered in the Archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic. 

On the other hand, the Canary Islands registers a total of seven deaths since Tuesday, of which four were reported in Tenerife and three in Gran Canaria. The deceased, aged between 59 and 91 years, had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

Therefore, the accumulated cases of coronavirus among this group amounts to 57,999 people in the Canary Islands. Thus, the Accumulated Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 715.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 353.51.
