The Canary Islands has registered 159 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 92,444, while the deaths rise to 941 by adding three deaths --two in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria--, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
Of the total cases, 12,240 are active (-395), of which 70 are admitted to the ICU (no variation), 354 remain hospitalized (+3) and 11,816 are in their homes (-398). In addition, 551 people have been discharged from hospital in the last hours, so that 79.26 Canarians have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.
As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 51.24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 124.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Meanwhile, a total of 2,019,937 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --4,525 in the last 24 hours--, of which 120,587 were positive, which represents 5.97 percent.
By islands, Tenerife adds 81 positives, accumulating 44,459 cases, of which 7,576 are epidemiologically active, 535 have died (+2) and 36,348 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 35,329 accumulated (+54), of which 4,296 are active, 321 have died (+1) and 30,712 have been discharged from hospital.
For its part, Lanzarote adds six positives, with 6,613 accumulated, of which 145 are active, while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,418 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,115 accumulated cases (+15), of which 193 are active, 16 have died and 3,906 have been discharged from hospital.
La Palma adds two cases in the last day, so it has 1,083 accumulated, of which 20 are active, 14 have died and 1,049 have been discharged from hospital.
Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated of 447 by notifying an infection, of which four are active, four have died and 439 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera has an accumulated of 397 cases (no variation), of which six are active, one has died and 390 have been discharged from hospital.
