The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified four new cases and ten under study of monkeypox in the archipelago since Friday.
Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 141 confirmed cases, of which 84 were detected in Gran Canaria, 51 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote. All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation.
The Ministry of Health currently maintains seven suspected cases under study, pending confirmation, three notified in Tenerife, two in Gran Canaria and two in Lanzarote, in addition to one probable in Tenerife.
