The Canary Islands has added a total of 1,091 new positives for Covid-19 among people over 60 years of age since last Tuesday, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the pandemic. In addition, the Archipelago regrets nine deaths from coronavirus in the last three days, five in Tenerife and four in Gran Canaria.
One of the deceased was only 43 years old, while the rest were between 64 and 94 years old. All of them suffered from previous pathologies and were in hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
The Cumulative Incidence in the group of people over 60 years of age is 870.56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days and 419.13 at 7 days.
Currently, there are 240 people admitted to hospital with coronavirus in the archipelago, of which 18 are in the ICU and the rest, 222, are on the ward.
