In addition, the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has also confirmed the fifth death in the islands, an elderly person with previous serious pathologies who died in Tenerife.

In the last three days, the number of cases has almost doubled in the Canary Islands, since last Tuesday there were 181 positives.
