The Haría City Council celebrates the approval by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands of the authorization to welcome children between zero and two years old in the CEIP San Juan classrooms. The educational center becomes one of the few facilities in Lanzarote to accommodate children in adapted spaces.

The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, emphasizes the importance of this measure so that the municipality has adequate facilities for the little ones to develop their creativity and learning. Likewise, he thanks the regional Executive for its willingness to complete the first cycle of early childhood education.

For her part, the head of the Area, Evelia García, points out that actions have been taken to create accessible spaces suitable for the early stages of life, such as the construction of ramps, the delimitation of spaces with walls for greater safety, as well as the provision of adapted special classrooms. "In this way, Haría becomes a town committed to education," she emphasizes.

The available spots are eight for girls and boys between 0 and 1 year old, and thirteen between 1 and 2 years old for the current school year 2025/2026. For several years now, CEIP San Juan has had a specialized classroom for children between 2 and 3 years old.

Parents registered in the municipality of Haría will be able to fill out the application online from next Monday, November 17, until the 28th of the same month. The provisional award list will be published on December 9. For more information, an email can be sent to [email protected].
