Canary Islands adds 95 new cases in the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands has registered 95 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago rises to 95,006, while deaths stand at 984 deaths as there are no deaths to regret, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total cases, 1,615 are active (-53), of which 34 are admitted to the ICU (-5), 179 remain hospitalized (-5) and 1,402 are in their homes (-43). In addition, 92,407 people have overcome the disease so far in the archipelago after 148 people were discharged from hospital in the last hours.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it stands at 26.56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 55.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Also, a total of 2,128,666 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 124,738 were positive, which represents 5.86 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 32 positives, accumulating 45,441 cases, of which 888 are epidemiologically active (-35), 563 have died and 43,990 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 36,284 accumulated (+59), of which 416 are active (-40), 333 have died and 35,535 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 16 positives, with 6,859 accumulated, of which 103 are active (+3), while it has registered 50 deaths and 6,706 have overcome the disease; Fuerteventura has 4,450 accumulated cases (+17), of which 182 are active (+17), 17 have died and 4,251 have been discharged from hospital; and La Palma adds one case and accumulates 1,107, of which 17 are active, 16 have died and 1,074 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro adds two cases and accumulates 461, of which eight are active (+2), four have died and 449 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera adds another case and accumulates 403, of which one is active, one has died and 401 have been discharged from hospital.
