Canary Islands adds 68 new infections and one death in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 30.56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 66.09 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 68 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the Islands now rises to 94,149 with 4,423 active, of which 44 are admitted to the ICU and 216 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

In the last hours there has been the death of one person. The total number of deaths in the islands since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 972, of which 557 have been in Tenerife; 327 in Gran Canaria; 51 in Lanzarote; 17 in Fuerteventura; 16 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 30.56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days at 66.09 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 2,080,976 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 4,043 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 11 new infections with a total of 45,097 accumulated cases and 1,200 epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 36,027 accumulated cases, 31 more than the previous day, and 2,791 active; Lanzarote adds 7 positives, with 6,745 accumulated and 83 active, and Fuerteventura has 4,334 accumulated cases, with 20 more than the previous day, and 341 active.

La Palma does not add new cases, so it remains with 1,090 accumulated and 4 active; El Hierro does not add new infections either and continues with 453 accumulated and 2 active cases, as does La Gomera, which continues with 402 accumulated and 2 active.
