The Canary Islands has added a total of 152 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the archipelago currently accumulates 20,474 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, and has had to regret one death in Tenerife, bringing the number of deaths to 329 in the islands.
Thus, of the total cases registered in the Canary Islands, 4,312 are active, which is 74 more than a day ago, according to data published by the Canary Islands Ministry of Health after 2:00 p.m.
Currently, of the active cases in the islands, 38 people are in an Intensive Care Unit (-1), 200 in hospital wards (-27) and 4,074 are isolated in their homes. Also, a total of 15,833 people (+77) have been discharged after contracting the coronavirus virus.
Regarding the accumulated incidence, the Canary Islands registers 38.64 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, while in 14 days it rises to 77.37.
As for tests, a total of 569,866 tests have been carried out in the Canary Islands so far, of which 26,224 were positive, which represents 4.6 percent of the total.
By islands
Regarding the cases of coronavirus by islands, Gran Canaria continues to lead in number of cases with 9,302, adding 24 in the last 24 hours, of which 1,417 are active (+14), while 126 people have died and 7,759 have overcome the disease.
It is followed by Tenerife with 8,516 cases registered since the pandemic began (+112), of which 2,761 are active (+59), 183 have died (+1) and 5,572 have been discharged.
After it is Lanzarote with 1,382 cases (+2), of which 54 are active (-3), nine have died and 1,319 people have overcome the disease.
Fuerteventura, on the other hand, has accumulated 884 cases (+9), of which 56 are active (+3), four have died and 824 have been discharged; La Palma remains with 213 cases, of which 12 are active (-2), six have died and 195 have overcome the disease.
La Gomera closes the list with 107 cases (+4), of which nine are active (+1), 98 have been discharged and has not had to mourn deaths; while El Hierro has 69 cases, of which two are active, in addition to registering one death and 66 discharges.
