Canarias adds two deaths and 243 new cases of coronavirus

In addition to the death registered in Lanzarote, another one has been added in Tenerife

Canarias has added 243 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last 24 hours two deaths have been reported in the archipelago

According to the Ministry of Health, to the death of a 55-year-old man in Lanzarote -which does not yet appear in the statistical portal but will be incorporated in the next few days once it is validated- has been added the death of a 92-year-old woman in Tenerife. 

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 45,276, of which 4,166 are active, after 347 discharges have also been added. There are 75 patients in the ICU and 312 in the hospital ward, while the remaining 3,799 are in home isolation.

The cumulative incidence at seven days in the Canary Islands stands at 68.84 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 135.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 110 new cases, with a total of 19,095 accumulated cases and 2,164 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria registers 94 new positives and has 18,639 accumulated 1,633 active; Lanzarote adds 13 new cases with 4,584 accumulated and 86 epidemiologically active; and Fuerteventura has 1,986 accumulated cases, with 25 more cases than the previous day, and 265 active. 

La Palma adds a new case and has 450 accumulated and 13 active; El Hierro does not add cases, so its accumulated are 300 and its assets four; and La Gomera also has no new cases, so it continues with 222 accumulated and one active. 

As of this Tuesday, a total of 938,798 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 3,424 correspond to the last 24 hours.
