The Canary Islands airline Binter has reported this Tuesday that it maintains its operations paralyzed at the La Palma airport temporarily due to the situation of the ash cloud caused by the eruption of the volcano on said island.
In a statement, Binter has indicated that the company "has been forced to make this decision due to force majeure", in such a way that it has had to cancel the flights scheduled for this Tuesday, September 28, until 1:00 p.m.
Likewise, it adds that the stoppage of operations will continue until conditions improve and allow flying, guaranteeing safety.
On the other hand, it has indicated that the company is attending through the usual channels the requests for changes or refunds that may be received from passengers affected on these flights.
In this sense, it has indicated that the airline is constantly monitoring the evolution regarding the situation of the volcano, being in contact with the aeronautical authorities, waiting to have confirmation that all the safety conditions are met to resume operations normally.
Finally, it states that given the exceptional and unprecedented situation that is being experienced, the company will be reporting any news or changes that may occur through its usual channels. In addition, the company recommends that before flying, check the updated flight situation in the official Binter media.
