A reader has contacted La Voz de Lanzarote to report that the path that was made on foot to access Papagayo beach and the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches is closed.
According to the citizen, this situation has been going on since the beginning of the summer, when this road was closed for the construction of tourist villas in the area and no acceptable solution was offered.
The Papagayo Arena hotel conditioned a path from its parking lot, however, the reader indicates that "it is not enough" due to the large number of people who pass through this section daily, either on foot or by bicycle. In addition, she adds that said path is "hidden".
The resident of the area is concerned because this fact not only affects the inhabitants of the place, but also tourists "are starting to complain in their hotels about the difficulty of getting to the beach on foot", she highlights.
"I don't know if there is an easement on that land, if there is, they are violating it, and if there isn't, they should demand that the promoters of this work build an alternative road," says the resident, who concludes by pointing out that "the beaches of Papagayo and the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches must have proper access for everyone."
