The workers of the Molina Orosa laundry have denounced the "serious" situation in which they work due to the high temperatures during their working day. The employees have contacted La Voz after the hospitalization of one of them for a "heat stroke" last Friday.

"She suffered a heat stroke, there were up to 37 and 40 degrees in there", said one of the workers. The woman had to be transferred to the emergency room and admitted that same day due to the heat in the work area.

"It is not the first time something like this has happened, we have been in the same situation for more than five years", she specified, although "normally employees do not go to the emergency room for that reason", she said.

The Management recommends that they "go to the hospital so that there are statistics", but "no one takes measures to avoid these cases", the woman pointed out. "We are at serious risk of life or death", she told the newspaper.

The women, many of whom are over 50 years old, express their "concern" and the consequences that these working conditions have created for them. "We have a lot of mental stress and serious pathologies", they pointed out.

In addition, the facilities do not comply with the appropriate safety for workdays to be carried out. "We have asked them to cover the electrical tables so that we do not get electrocuted, but they limit themselves to putting up signs", she added. "They do nothing, they say there is no budget", she assured.

All the workers have reported what happened in writing and in conversation with the occupational risk prevention technician. "He limited himself to saying that he could not do anything more than send reports to the hospital management and that they did not want to take measures", the complainant revealed.
