Neighbors of the Villa de Teguise denounce in La Voz the "critical" situation they are experiencing regarding the lack of water in the municipality. "We have been without water for more than two and a half months," revealed the citizens residing in the area of the Majuelo road.

As in other parts of Teguise, they are experiencing the consequences of the lack of supply. "All our crops have died" and "many fruit trees and crops need urgent water," they pointed out.

Citizens demand that Canal Gestión "open every two weeks to help fill their cisterns". A maintenance of the crop that is in danger, for which they have been working for decades and that now, due to "bad management", they are going to see how their work "dies", they added.

As happens in other rural areas of the island, of which they are aware, they ask that the "meters be opened", and that they "not be forgotten", they argued. "We understand the situation, but we need it, it would be a great help...", they revealed.

The situation is so difficult for them that they have considered "abandoning the farms and not returning to the houses". "We are at the point of closing our gates due to this shortage that we are experiencing," they concluded.
