Complaints about concerts in Arrecife continue. Residents of the Valterra and Los Alonso areas have contacted La Voz to complain about the latest concert held on Friday night. " We want our city to be declared in the next plenary session: Arrecife, the first capital of noise in the Canary Islands."

"More and more residents are complaining about the impossibility of sleeping due to the high volume of concerts organized in our city. What for some is a night of fun, for us has become a real torment. The complaints are multiplying, and not only because of the noise level, but because of the duration of these events, which extend until the early hours of the morning," they say.

Many residents near the areas where these concerts are held (at the cruise terminal) "express our discomfort at not being able to rest properly, which affects our well-being and daily routine." "We understand that these are important events for culture and tourism, but at what cost?" In the last Arrecife en Vivo to which these images belong, the windows vibrated and there is no insulation that can counteract the sound," they lament.

Finally, they ask what will the City Council do to find a balance between the cultural offer and the right to rest of citizens? Will better measures be implemented to mitigate noise, or will we continue to suffer this situation?
