A reader has contacted La Voz to report the Emergency service of the José Molina Orosa Hospital after going last Saturday morning and not being attended to "despite the room being empty".
The woman arrived at the Emergency Room in the early morning with chest pain and at first there were some people before her. "First they took me to triage around 01:20, I went outside and they told me that they would call me right away to take the X-ray because there was practically no one there," she says.
However, the patient saw how time was passing until 03:00 but they did not call her to take the X-ray. During all this time she kept asking at the counter but "they told me that there were more people in front of me and more excuses." "At one point I saw a girl come out from inside who was the companion of another boy and she tells us that there was no one inside, that it was empty, as was the outside room where patients wait," she says.
Therefore, the couple got up to ask again when they were going to take the X-ray but the administrative staff answered "in a bad way". "It was already 03:30 and he told my partner that if I had so much pain to put myself in the triage area but I had already been seen there, I was already waiting for the doctor to see me and what bothered me was the bad manners in saying it," she says.
As a result of this, the patient decided to file a complaint form because she points out that there was no one else waiting as shown in the video. "It seems that we pay for Social Security for nothing, but it is not just that, but the treatment they give you because you are sick and in a lot of pain," she continues. In addition, she adds that when she went to the administrative staff to have the complaint form stamped, "he refused and said that I had to take it to a health center and put it in a mailbox".
Finally, the woman gave up and left at 03:40. "The next day I went to my family doctor and went to a private hospital to have the X-ray," she explains.
