The way of doing tourism has changed since the irruption of social networks. So much so that visitors are increasingly looking for daring and different spaces. On many occasions, this eagerness to capture the novelty or to follow the trends means that travelers reach unprepared or environmentally fragile spaces just to take a photograph.

This is the case of the Caldera Colorada route, in the protected area of the Natural Park of Los Volcanes. It is a circular route, three kilometers long, which surrounds a volcanic caldera. This space has an enabled and marked path, where you can see the volcano, a lava flow that emanates from the crater and a large volcanic bomb.

It is in this volcanic bomb where many hikers decide to make a stop to take a picture next to this large set of solidified pyroclasts. Thus, these bombs are formed when the erupting volcano expels viscous fragments of lava and can be launched kilometers away, according to the Government of the Canary Islands on its website.

According to a user on Instagram, there are dozens of images of people who leave the marked path to take a picture next to the volcanic rock and publish it on social networks. In some cases, they even climb it or get on it.

"This is how well some of the island's visitors treat the volcanic bomb of Montaña Colorada," this person has highlighted. At the same time, he pointed out that to reach that bomb "you have to leave the path and obviously climbing or climbing the volcanic bomb is prohibited." To conclude, he indicated that in the area you can see "the erosion caused by the countless daily footprints."

"I don't want to think about the daily aggressions to the natural environment of Conejero that we don't see," the user concluded.
