A reader of Voz de Lanzarote has denounced the presence of dirty water from the Hurón ravine that flows directly into Las Cucharas beach, one of the most visited by residents and tourists in Costa Teguise.

According to him, the accumulation of foam and the evident cloudy appearance of the water are generating concern among the usual users of the beach.

“It is outrageous to see how that water flows without any control towards the beach, where children and families bathe. Where is the City Council to check if this water is in good condition?”, asks the reader, who has also captured images of the current state of the ravine.

The complaint also points to the environmental risk that this situation could imply if water quality controls are not carried out or action is not taken urgently. “It is not just about the bad image. It is a matter of public health and respect for the natural environment”, he adds.
