A neighbor from Puerto del Carmen has contacted La Voz to complain that the works of the future La Perla shopping center in Puerto del Carmen are "paralyzed" "They have been completely stopped for a month and a bit and it is not because of Covid", says this citizen, who denounces the inconvenience this causes to the neighbors.
This private initiative, which included 359 parking spaces, was part of the II Modernization Plan of Puerto del Carmen, which was precisely annulled last October by the Supreme Court. "I understand that this is why it is paralyzed", points out this neighbor, who criticizes the "negligence" of the City Council and the Councilor for Urban Planning in this matter, demanding that "they do not fall asleep and do their job" so that the works can be resumed.

"Because we are many neighbors affected by the work and the side effects that it is entailing, in terms of access, of dirt...", says this man. "It is no longer what the demolition meant, the stone chipping here, but now they leave us like this. The worst that could have happened has happened and we don't even want to think that this is going to stay this way", concludes this neighbor.
