A little over a week ago, La Voz told the story of Juanito and his family, a young man with a rare disease who is receiving an experimental treatment that could improve his quality of life. As a result, he and his family have not stopped receiving shows of affection, something that his father Juan wanted to thank from the bottom of his heart.

"People have surprised me with the support and affectionate gratitude for my son Juanito's new treatment that has given us hope again after so many years of sacrifices," declares the father.

"I am still receiving congratulations, greetings and words of complicity, empathy and affection from many people and even from people I don't know who have greeted me on the street and have stopped to give me some nice words of support and joy," he says.

"All of this is making me see that despite the difficulties of this increasingly frantic and selfish lifestyle, there are still many good and empathetic people who go unnoticed around us, but who are there, and make this world with their grain of sand a better and more pleasant world for everyone," he says.

Juan affirms that "all this makes me regain confidence that we are not so bad and that we can live in harmony, civility and respect, life is easier with hope." Juanito's father concludes by wishing a "Merry Christmas to all."
