A resident of San Bartolomé has contacted La Voz to complain about the street closures due to resurfacing works in the town "without prior notice". "It's a chaos," he says.
"The workers, with some fences, a roll of tape and a pen become guards who direct the traffic and the lives of the neighbors. They cut off the streets without warning, literally leaving the neighbors locked in their houses without the possibility of reaction," he criticizes.
This man claims that the workers put "at night" the fences and papers of prohibited parking the next day, so that "many neighbors do not see the signs". "But this does not prevent the Local Police from removing the cars without prior notice and not communicating where they deposit it," says this neighbor, who is one of those affected. In addition, he points out that the workers even "reuse the papers", so that they change the dates "writing on top with a pen".
This citizen claims to feel "impotence" in the face of this situation and the "great neglect" of the City Council. "And when talking to the municipal police, all they do is threaten to fine me," he laments.
