A resident of Costa Teguise denounces the "large amount" of accumulation of garbage and waste in several areas of the town. According to what the woman told the newspaper, she makes it clear that the waste scattered in different points "is not something temporary." "I have been seeing everything like this for some time," the citizen complained.

As can be seen in the photographs to which La Voz has had access, cardboard and fruit boxes, cement sacks, plastic bottles and even pieces of a sink have been abandoned on public roads, specifically on the side of the Hotel Blue Sea, in the direction of Avenida de Las Palmeras and Calle Los Alechos. In addition, the palm trees that adorn several roads in Costa Teguise have been losing their branches, which have been left lying on the ground and piled up together with stones, leaves and rubble from different works. "I go for a walk around the area and the image I find is incredible," she highlighted.

Given the state and circumstances in which the area is located, it does not seem that the "situation is going to be resolved," she pointed out. "I ask that it be cleaned immediately, it is very uncomfortable for residents to have to find the public road with so much dirt," she revealed.

"Costa Teguise has become a garbage dump and manure pit," she pointed out. A situation that has caused the neighbor's discontent. "It's a shame to have to see it that way," she said. What happened is due to the "little action" of the Teguise City Council in cleaning measures. "They have forgotten everything," she said.

The citizen highlighted that "since the Union for the Conservation of Costa Teguise (UCCT) no longer operates in the town, cleaning has been neglected." "We miss the work they did to conserve the territory," she added. In addition, she clarifies that on the part of the workers, there was "great concern" for the environment on the island.
