A regular user of La Garita beach, in Arrieta, has pointed out "the terrible conditions" in which the lifeguard is. Among other points, the woman has pointed out that the company keeps "the sanitary material expired" and that the lifeguard works eight hours a day "without any shelter from the sun", despite the high temperatures that the island is suffering.

"He tries to take refuge inside the lifeguard post, which is not effective because this way he does not see the bathers on the beach," says the neighbor. In this way, she exposes the need to put the lifeguard "a good place so that the sun does not hit him" and prevent him from "spending those unbearable heat".

This citizen assures that while the lifeguard services were attending to a family member, she was able to notice through the glass window that the material used by the NGO "was expired." In addition, she indicates that she already transferred these complaints to the manager of the company in Lanzarote.

"This is nothing new, since this NGO has been providing a service for some time for which it receives X money, which is not invested either in the staff or in the corresponding material of its lifeguard," she indicates. To conclude, she thanks the ambulance staff and the person in charge for their work and their quick response.
