A reader has contacted La Voz to report the continuous robberies suffered by her business in the Las Cucharas Shopping Center, in Costa Teguise. In addition, she is not the only one affected, since other premises in this area have also suffered these robberies by a group of people.
Security cameras recorded last Wednesday morning two men stealing one of the vending machines of balls that was outside this businesswoman's business. Both alleged thieves also stole a foosball table, all in plain sight.
These robberies have been happening "for more than a year", the woman says. The Civil Guard has appeared at the scene on several occasions and according to the woman, "the perpetrators have been arrested several times but they are released." "The vending machine company I think is planning to report it," she reveals.
In addition, "they have also robbed tourists on the beach and elderly people who have had their bags stolen," she says. Another aspect that the businesswoman complains about is "the poor lighting in this area of Costa Teguise, especially on the promenade that runs through the Hotel Salinas, it is a shame how the town is... it cannot be that one is afraid to walk at seven in the afternoon," she says.
