The fall of a telephone cable has prevented a resident of the Maneje neighborhood from parking her vehicle in the garage normally since last week, as it is in front of the entrance gate. Specifically, this occurs on Los Geranios Avenue in the capital, in front of the Arrecife Clean Point.
“The cable is already on the ground, and I had to take the liberty of readjusting it upwards with a rope, because otherwise it was impossible to enter,” explains the owner's son to La Voz.
In addition, last Friday he had to sharpen his ingenuity to get the car into his house, and by using a broomstick, he accommodated the cable so that the vehicle could enter.
The owner's son claims to have filed a complaint with the Local Police and Telefónica, who owns the telephone cable. “They have given us the runaround, and Telefónica says that they cannot repair the cable because the law says that fiber optics should be installed,” he says, and adds that even from the company, far from offering a solution, “they are trying to sell television promotions.” “The situation is surreal,” he points out.
In addition, he also went to Consumo to file a claim, although the service workers pointed out that they “had no powers” on that issue, and that he had to go directly to the Local Police of Arrecife.
“What I want is for them to hang that cable up, because I left it in writing that it is a danger to anyone who passes by the street.”, the affected party states.
