A reader has denounced the "lack of taxi service" in Arrecife. This Monday, the woman was ready to take a taxi to return home from the Molina Orosa hospital, but found that "she could not return to her home". "I have been waiting for 3 hours for a taxi to become available," she criticized in her recent contact with La Voz.

The 48-year-old woman cannot move on her own, as she has just had an operation in which an intrathecal infusion pump has been placed in her abdomen. "I cannot drive or walk to get to my house," she made clear. "It is unbelievable that they have me waiting here in the state I am in," she criticized. In addition, the situation seems to "not matter to them". "They tell me that "the taxis will come when they are available"", she assured.

Given the insistent complaint of the citizen to the telephone line that manages taxis in the capital of Lanzarote, the woman emphasizes that she has received "very bad answers". "I don't care that you have had surgery," they have blurted out from the other side of the phone. In addition, given the complaints of some of the patients about the interest of the taxis destined to pick up cruise passengers arriving on the island, the telephone assistant has responded with "bold ways". "Go and see that they are going for the cruise passengers," they replied in response to the users' criticism.
