The continuous rotations carried out by Juan Rivera seemed to be giving results, but after the 15th minute there was a dangerous disconnection that Siero Deportivo Balonmano took advantage of very well to get into the game, forcing the Lanzarote bench to call a time-out.
On the return to the court, that difference that had been compressed to three goals and that had been double, was gradually widened again thanks to the teamwork carried out by the batatero team in the first half hour of the match and that ended with the score of 15 to 9, with a 7 meters stopped already out of time by the youth Marta Brito, who had replaced Cristina Mazaira.
In the second half, the local team maintained the average work that they had been doing throughout the first half. A solid and pressing defense, an effective attack, doses of counterattacks and good performances in the goal. This is how Zonzamas moved away on the scoreboard against a Siero Deportivo that could not find a way to hurt the Lanzarote team.
Juan Rivera was experiencing a quiet match on the sidelines, because despite having had matches with more bulky scores, he was happy with the work his players were doing, with a less showy but more effective match. There was no lack throughout the 60 minutes of the genius of Ariadna Molina or Chaxiraxi Hernández, as well as the outstanding scoring form of Brenda Roger, nor the emotional celebration of Rocío Guerrero in each goal towards her friend Vesi Nenkova. But one of the magical moments was experienced by the youth Marta Brito, who also had her minutes in the second half, responding efficiently, earning the cheers of her teammates from the bench.
