The Wine Run Kids opens the great sports and festive weekend of June 14 and 15, the Wine Run Lanzarote and the enogastronomic festival that animates it, a call with its epicenter in the spectacular landscape of La Geria and the town of Uga, and this southern town will host, one more year, on Saturday the 14th from 11:00 a.m., the foot race events for boys and girls from pre-Benjamin to cadet categories. Free registration to participate in the Wine Run Kids is open in the cover banner of the town hall website.
The Yaiza City Council informs that registration can only be done online until Thursday, June 12, therefore, the organization will not accept registrations in Uga on the day of the race. The municipal website also publishes the regulations, the form to fill out and the authorization form for mothers, fathers or guardians so that minors can participate.
The start, route and finish are organized on Joaquín Rodríguez Street, the main road in Uga. The prebenjamines will run 100 meters, the benjamines 200 m, alevines 600 m, children 1,000 m and cadets 2,000 m. The distribution of bib numbers will be on June 14 from 9:30 a.m. at the Camel Interpretation Center, located in front of the Uga Market.
On behalf of the Yaiza City Council, the mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, invite the families of the Island to enjoy accompanying the little ones in the Wine Run Kids. Lanzarote is ready to live the Wine Run Lanzarote experience organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Yaiza City Council with the support of the Lanzarote Wine Regulatory Council and the Government of the Canary Islands.
The City Council's commitment to the Wine Run Kids reinforces Yaiza's promotion of sporting events with a leading role for the youngest population, apart from the continuous program of Sports Schools in different disciplines that the municipality develops together with clubs and sports entities established in the south of Lanzarote.
