An excavator has left the entire municipality of Yaiza without electricity. The events occurred after 3:00 PM this Tuesday, when an incident in the southern municipality's electricity supply was registered.
According to the Lanzarote Emergency and Security Consortium (CECOES), work unrelated to the company responsible for the island's electricity supply, Endesa, caused a breakdown in the town's electrical system.
Specifically, the incident was detected in an underground section in the Uga area, in Yaiza. Firefighters have reported that they are working to repair it as soon as possible.
