The Yaiza City Council invites the young people of the municipality to experience the initiation experience in diving next Friday, August 16, the day scheduled for a baptism day, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Playa Flamingo, with prior registration as an essential requirement until 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday, August 13.

The minimum age to register is 15 years old, and it is necessary to write to the email [email protected] indicating name, surname, photocopy of ID, contact telephone number and email address. In the case of minors under 18 years of age, it is necessary to attach the authorization of the father, mother or guardian with their ID. Once the requirements have been verified, the interested person will receive a link to fill out a medical form.

Yaiza carries out this activity together with Pura Vida Lanzarote Diving, an entity with whom the Institution develops voluntary days of cleaning beaches and seabeds of the southern coast, as well as awareness campaigns for the care of the natural environment. In this sense, the diving baptism activity for young people, in addition to a recreational and sports component, also has an environmental purpose. If we know the richness and diversity of our seabeds, we will surely worry about taking much more care of the sea and its surroundings.
