Fulfilling the planned schedule completely, the return of the "César Manrique Trophy – RCNA – Calero Marinas" is now a reality after the completion today in the waters of Arrecife
of Lanzarote of the second and last day of regattas.
Two legs were held for the ORC 0-4 class and one for the ORC E, with a participation of 13 boats, which made windward-leeward courses. The regatta course received the boats with conditions similar to those on Saturday with wind of 14 knots from direction E. Once the tests were completed, the participants congratulated the organization and Regatta Committee chaired by Manuel Torres, who in addition to having no incidents strictly complied with the scheduled times.
"Lanzarote Sailing Paradise" of the RCN Arrecife skippered by Alejandro Morales Quintana was proclaimed winner in the ORC 0-4 class, while the victory in ORC-E was for the "Saudade" of Héctor Rodríguez of the RCN Gran Canaria fleet, he did so after achieving victory in the three races held.
On Sunday, the "Cachito" of Augusto Escolar (CN Castillo del Águila –Marina Rubicón) took the victory in the first leg. In the second, "Lanzarote Sailing Paradise" won, which yesterday had scored the first and second regatta.
The podium in ORC 0-4 was completed by the "Cachito" 3 points behind the "Lanzarote Sailing Paradise", the third place was for "Ferrer y García" of Pedro Ferrer attached to the fleet of the RCN Arrecife.
In ORC E, the "Saudade" was followed, in second place by the "Marujo" of Miguel Ángelo Da Silva and the Club Força 5 of Madeira – Portugal. Third finished the "Lausamar" of the RCN of Tenerife and skippered by Jorge Sbert.
Again, fans were able to follow the development of the regattas aboard the boat "Cala San Vicente" of Líneas Romero.
The events of the "X César Manrique Trophy – RCNA – Calero Marinas, closed on Sunday night with the awards ceremony and closing at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, which together with Calero Marinas offered participants a cocktail. Sailors and companions later enjoyed the performance of the Copacabana orchestra.
The organizers are already working on what will be the XI edition, which has its scheduled dates of celebration from August 19 to 21, 2022.
