After several weeks without knowing victory, the Unión Sur Yaiza had a very good opportunity to change the dynamic against CD Laguna, although the need of the Tenerife team, bottom of the Third Division, was not going to make things easy for Carlos Ramírez's team.
The Unión Sur Yaiza started the match in favor of the wind, an important particularity because it was who marked the weight of the match. The approaches to the goal in the first half were for the locals and all of them were born from the boots of an inspired Rubén Rodríguez.
At 6 minutes Javi Melián finished off a corner launched by Rubén Rodríguez, forcing Dani to work in the visiting goal. At 15 minutes a foul launched by Rubén is finished off by Ubay, again finding the opposition of the goalkeeper.
The third time was the charm, when half an hour of the match was played. Rubén takes a short corner kick for Krispy and he hangs it in the heart of the area, with the fortune that the wind "finished off" that ball surprising the Laguna defense and raising the goal to the scoreboard.
After the goal, little more in the first half. The Unión Sur Yaiza could not get through clearly, while Laguna had enough to avoid being reached. So the players went to the locker room.
In the second half, Laguna had the wind in their favor and began to have more ball. The center of the field gained more presence and the attacking players of the verdilo team had to resign themselves to counterattacks or set pieces, such as 10 minutes after the restart when Jona finished off a cross from the right by Rubén Rodríguez, crashing it into the crossbar.
Another clear chance was had by Fouad in his boots at 20 minutes, when he stole a ball in the defensive zone and, after making a nice hat, was in front of Dani, getting the ball and sending the ball very high.
The fatigue of the locals and the need of the visitors, made the match become more lagunero from there. The clearest chance for the Tenerife team was in the 77th minute when Siverio receives between the lines and is left alone against Doramas. The local defense stood still asking for offside, while the striker tried a vaseline that went high.
The visiting dominance continued but without chances, until in the 92nd minute a foul from the corner of the local area, executed by Alonso, forced Doramas to make an exceptional intervention that could well have cost some points.
The match ended with Laguna in the Lanzarote area, even with their goalkeeper, but without putting Doramas' goal in more trouble than those mentioned.
