UD Lanzarote did not have their best day to receive the leader of the Canarian group of the Third Federation, falling defeated by 0 to 3 against UD San Fernando and seeing their streak of five consecutive victories cut short. The Rojillos were not comfortable on the field throughout the entire match, and barely created danger on the goal defended by Ramírez.
The first minutes of the match were marked by equality, without the match having a clear dominator and most of the game taking place in the wide area. It was UD Lanzarote who timidly had more of the ball in their possession, although without generating chances on the rival's area.
UD San Fernando took the lead in the 19th minute, when Galván won the backs of the defenders, dribbled Ruymán and finished into an empty net. UD Lanzarote reacted in the final minutes of the first half, with the Rojillos lacking depth to finish the generated plays with shots.
In the second half, UD Lanzarote took control of the game, having more of the ball in their possession, although they became desperate as the minutes passed. The Rojillos players were in a hurry, highlighting only a foul executed by Alex Cruz from the front of the area that was rejected by the barrier.
With 8 minutes remaining, UD San Fernando made it 2-0 with a shot from Aythami from the edge of the area that beat goalkeeper Ruymán. And just two minutes later, Aythami went down the left and gave way for Farías to finish unmarked into the back of the net.
0-3 defeat for UD Lanzarote against UD San Fernando, seeing their streak of five consecutive victories cut short and placing themselves in fourth position in the standings. The Rojillos visit Arucas CF next Friday.
