There was nothing at stake in the last league match of UD Lanzarote against CD Marino, after being left last week without options to fight for the promotion play-off. The Rojillos said goodbye to the season with a 3-0 victory against the Tenerife team, in a match that was marked by the farewell of captain Ayoze Pérez as a UD Lanzarote player.
UD Lanzarote took just ten minutes to take the lead. In a filtered ball from Javi Martín, Iván Hujo stood alone inside the area and the striker did not miss to make it 1-0 on the scoreboard of the Municipal Pancho Bermúdez.
Iván Hujo had two good chances in the first half to increase the lead. In the 24th minute, he was again alone inside the area, with goalkeeper David saving low. And in the 44th minute, Nadjib went in speed on the left, passed to Iván Hujo and the shot hit the goalkeeper's body.
One of the most emotional moments of the match came in the 57th minute, when Ayoze Pérez left the field in his last match with the UD Lanzarote shirt. The players of both teams gave him a guard of honor, with the captain saying goodbye to the fans. At halftime he also received a well-deserved recognition, and was given the club's gold badge.
UD Lanzarote sealed the match in the final stretch. In the 78th minute, Álvaro Iglesias took advantage of a good play by Iván Hujo to stand alone inside the area and score with a crossed shot. And in the 92nd minute, Nadjib stood in the area after a ball in depth, his first shot was saved by David and Nadjib picked up the rebound to make it three.
