UD Lanzarote reinforces its defense with the signing of Manuel Herrera "Súper"

The Andalusian player has an extensive career in the Second Division B

In the last hours, the sports management of UD Lanzarote has managed to close the signing of central defender Manuel Herrera, better known in the world of football as Súper, and who has developed practically his sports career in the Second Division B.

Manuel Herrera López "Super", from Seville, 39 years old, is a 1.82 meter tall footballer who occupies the position of central defender, although he can also play on the right side. A player who stands out for his physical size and speed in the defensive zone, being forceful to cut off the rival's attacking plays.

He trained in the lower categories of Real Betis, playing with the Verdiblanco subsidiary for several seasons in the bronze division of Spanish football. In the 2013/2014 season he defended the colors of Elche Ilicitano and FC Cartagena, joining the following season the ranks of San Roque de Lepe. He began the 2015/2016 season at Villanovense, signing in the winter market for Caudal Deportivo with whom he achieved promotion to the Second Division "B".

With the Asturian team he played the first part of the 2016/2017 season and in January he disassociated himself to sign for Ceres - Negros FC, a team in the highest category in the Philippines. The Philippine team has been his club for the last three seasons, after developing a good part of his sports career in the bronze division of Spanish football. In the Second Division "B" he has played 139 games.

The central defender becomes the ninth signing of UD Lanzarote for the 2020/2021 season, joining the incorporations of left back Javi Morales, central defender Matheus, inside player Kevin Castro, attacking midfielder Adrián Machín, midfielders Dani González and Keita, right inside player Javier Zafra and striker Víctor Rodríguez.
