UD Lanzarote celebrates the first training of the season

On Monday afternoon, the 20/21 project of UD Lanzarote was launched and after several months of inactivity the players began to feel the first consequences of the physical work of the preseason. A first training session that took place at the facilities of the Costa Teguise golf course and in which coach Josu Uribe was able to begin to meet the players who will be his players during this campaign.

The president of UD Lanzarote, Juan Carlos Albuixech, was in charge of welcoming all the players that make up the squad for the 2020/2021 season. Next, the team's coach, Josu Uribe, addressed the players to request commitment, involvement and willingness to fight this campaign for the highest possible goals.

The first training session of the preseason was marked by absences. Striker Víctor Rodríguez and Javier Zafra, will join the group work this Tuesday, midfielder Kilian will do so on Wednesday and Manuel Herrera "Super" will arrive on the island next Saturday. For their part, Brazilians Matheus and Keita will do so in the next few days after resolving bureaucratic issues in their country, and Miguel Gómez and Rosmen were absent due to work and personal problems, respectively.

There are several players who will carry out the preseason on trial, with the firm objective of earning a federative card in the first red and white team. From the subsidiary team of the past season, Julyan, Maykol, Rivaldo, Assane, Aitor, Alex Rodríguez and Bencomo have joined the training sessions and Alex Vera also returns after completing his training stage in the youth category.

Most of the first preseason training was led by the team's physical trainer, Eugenio Rojido, designing a demanding physical work circuit for the first part of the session and doing continuous running in the second part. The ball did not miss its appointment in this first day of work marked by the physical aspect, with the players performing several exercises with the sphere.

The preseason will continue throughout this week at Costa Teguise Golf, a company that has kindly given part of its facilities so that UD Lanzarote can begin preseason training. It is expected that in the next few days the team will be able to use the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
