Unión Deportiva Lanzarote has expressed its condolences for the death this Monday of Juan Cruz, who was one of the members of the first team of the rojillo team in the 1970/71 season. "Some hard times for the family of the former UD Lanzarote player for the loss of a loved one," they say in a statement.
In addition, the president of the Board of Directors of UD Lanzarote, Enrique de Paiz, on behalf of the entity and his own, wanted to convey his deepest condolences to the family of Juan Cruz, extending his condolences to the friends and relatives of the former player.
Juan Cruz belonged to the generation of footballers who defended the UD Lanzarote shirt for the first time. Next Sunday, on the occasion of the match against Atlético Unión Güimar, a minute of silence will be observed in memory of Juan Cruz to remember one of the footballers who has been part of the history of UD Lanzarote.
