UD Lanzarote secured a comfortable victory to close out the year and move into second place in the Canary Islands group of the Tercera Federación. The "rojillos" were clearly superior to UD San Fernando, with Moha opening the scoring and Nami doubling the lead before halftime. Ale Fuentes completed the rout with two more goals in the second half.
UD Lanzarote didn't take even a minute to create their first dangerous chance, with a through ball from Pablo to Moha, and it was the goalkeeper Galindo who got to the ball before the attacker. An action that was repeated barely a minute later, but this time Moha, with more space, finished to put the score at 1-0.
With over half an hour gone, UD Lanzarote scored their second goal, with Nami breaking down the left flank, cutting past the defender inside the box and firing a shot close to the base of the post. And before halftime, Loukou recovered a ball at the right edge of the box and passed it for Nami to simply tap in. UD San Fernando tried to react in the second half, and the chances they created were neutralized by goalkeeper Ruymán. Ale Fuentes was responsible for increasing the lead in the 71st minute, taking advantage of a run by Nami down the left flank. And in the final minute of the match, Ale Fuentes, with a cross-shot, scored the fifth for the home side.
UD Lanzarote's 5-0 victory over UD San Fernando, a win that allows the red team to climb to second place in the standings and put them two points behind leaders Atlético Paso. The competition resumes for UD Lanzarote on January 4, with the derby against San Bartolomé CF.
