With the qualification to play the promotion phase achieved last day, UD Lanzarote only had to certify the runner-up of group XII of the Third Federation and be able to play the return matches of the first two qualifying rounds as local. The rojillos did not play a good match against Estrella CF, lacking intensity and attitude on the field against the bottom team of the category.
UD Lanzarote dominated the beginning of the match, but the initiative to the visitors barely lasted a few minutes. The first warning was given by Estrella in the 11th minute, with a header from Amado that went into Alejandro's hands. The response from the rojillos would arrive just seven minutes later, with Pipo sending a shot from inside the area to the crossbar.
The minutes passed without anything happening on the field, and Mateo García despaired from the sideline asking his players for intensity. With the score tied at zero, the first 45 minutes of the match came to an end.
With a better attitude, the players of UD Lanzarote came out at the beginning of the second half, and that allowed them to take the lead on the scoreboard. In the 6th minute of the restart, Fabricio took a short free kick from the left vertex of the area, Raúl hit the ball and the ball, after touching a defender, went into the back of the net.
With the score in favor, the players of UD Lanzarote thought that everything was done and lowered the pace of the game again. Circumstance that Estrella took advantage of to stretch lines and go in search of the equalizing goal. A tie that would arrive in the 77th minute, in a corner kick executed by Omar and that Manu Dimas headed in the first post.
Until the end of the match, it was time to suffer and wait for the results that were being recorded in the rest of the matches of the category. The second goal of CD Marino against UD San Fernando gave tranquility to the rojillos and the possibility of being able to certify the second place.
Tie to one goal against Estrella CF in the last day of the regular phase of the competition, in a not brilliant match by UD Lanzarote. UD Villa de Santa Brígida will be the rival of the rojillos in the first qualifying round of the promotion phase, with the first leg being played next Sunday, April 30 at the Municipal de Los Olivos.
